Visually Directed Design and Safety

The concept of Visually Directed Design (VDD) evolved from high level academic research connecting knowledge about perception and cognition with its practical use in design.

VDD utilises this to create unique visually based design solutions for organisations and businesses needing to communicate complex concepts and ideas to staff and wider audiences in new and exciting ways.

Amongst other things, this approach is particularly relevant to improving safety (VDS). It utilises highly visual interactive multimedia; proactive use of knowledge about how people take in and make sense of images; and experiential learning principles to get messages across and influence behaviours at a highly personal level.
